Start of the procedure for electing the dean and appointing the election committee
The Senate of the University College in Ptuj begins the procedure for electing a dean. An election committee is appointed consisting of: mag. Oton Mlakar (chairman), asst. dr. Dušan Klinar (member), asst. dr. Boris Zmazek (member). The deadline for submitting candidacies is from 20. 4. 2023 to 5. 5. 2023.
The procedure for the election and appointment of the Dean shall begin with the adoption of a resolution of the Senate on the initiation of the procedure for the appointment of the Dean and the appointment of an election committee to conduct the candidacy procedure for the Dean, in accordance with Article 18 of the Statute of the University of Ptuj. The resolution of the Senate on the initiation of the procedure for the appointment of the Dean shall be published on the notice board and website of the University of Ptuj (hereinafter referred to as the University of Ptuj). The decision shall be notified to the higher education teachers of the University of Ptuj.
Only a member of the Academic Council with the title of at least assistant professor, or with an equivalent scientific title, may be appointed as dean.
Candidates for dean may be nominated by departments or by at least five higher education teachers or researchers who are members of the Academic Assembly. Recorded candidacies proposers within the investment deadline, until 5. 5. 2023 until 12 noon, in sealed envelopes, shall be submitted in person or by registered mail to the VŠP office. The office shall hand over the sealed envelopes with the registered candidacies to the election commission.
Direct candidacies candidates for dean, within the application deadline, 5. 5. 2023 until 12 noon, submitted in person or by registered mail to the office of the College of Education in Ptuj. The candidate for dean must attach to the application a program that will be the basis for his or her activities after election. The program must contain a time-bound operational work plan, stating goals, in the field of educational and scientific research activities of the College of Education.

NEW AT PTUJ – POSSIBILITY OF FULL-TIME STUDY AND ENROLLMENT IN THE 2022/2023 ACADEMIC YEAR
At its session on February 10, 2022, the Government of the Republic of Slovenia granted concessions, including for the College of Engineering in Ptuj, for the implementation of the higher education professional program Bionics in Technology.
It means that in the 2022/23 academic year we will be able to start implementing full-time studies and that education for full-time students will be free of charge, the number of places offered for enrollment in the 1st year is 20.
