PROMOTING SUSTAINABLE ENERGY DEVELOPMENT OF FARM HOLDINGS AND TOURIST DESTINATIONS “ENE-RAST”
- Promoting innovative partnerships in the field of environmental protection and nature conservation by improving environmental and energy efficiency and introducing RES.
- Carrying out awareness-raising activities about the importance of environmental protection and adaptation to climate change.
- Maintaining an innovative partnership in the field of energy renovation by increasing energy efficiency, introducing UE and other energy-efficient and innovative solutions and technologies.
- Within the framework of the project and through the operation of the partnership, we will contribute to the development of the local economy.
- In the long term, awareness of climate change mitigation will increase, which will further lead to new investments in new energy-efficient devices, energy renovation and the use of RES.
- At least 25 stakeholders will be actively involved in the project, which will be proven with an attendance list.
ENE-RAST project will be focused primarily on the rural population, with the main emphasis on agricultural holdings with or without complementary activities (e.g. farms - livestock farming, processing, production of vegetables and flowers in greenhouses, winemaking, etc.), as well as services (providers of accommodation capacities, tourist facilities, etc.).
ENE-RAST project will take place in the municipalities of Kidričevo, Hajdina, Ptuj Municipality, Markovci, Dornava, Juršinci, Destrnik and Trnovska vas. Experts with knowledge, experience and references in this field will participate in the project. They will be able to provide stakeholders within the project and outside the project with appropriate professional assistance for the most efficient and cost-effective introduction of UE and RES into their agricultural holdings, complementary activities, tourism facilities and households.
Environmental concerns are of great importance today. Energy management is also an important concern. The European Union is therefore working to reduce the negative effects of climate change and to create a common energy policy. The EU has plans to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and is also facing increasing dependence on energy imports. For this reason, it is necessary to find its own alternative energy sources that would reduce this dependence and ensure the continuity and stability of energy supply. Slovenia has committed itself to acting in such a way that the regulations of the climate and energy package encourage innovation and act as an instrument for further economic growth while respecting the principles of sustainable development.
OPERATION ENE-GROWTH refers to the thematic area Environmental Protection and Nature Conservation, to objective C6: Promoting the use of renewable sources and efficient energy use in rural and urban areas, measure U6: Adapting to climate change and strengthening innovative approaches in the field of natural resource management.
