Career Fair Ptuj 2026

YOU CAN FIND A GOOD JOB AT HOME The 5th Career Fair was held in Ptuj, where young people connect with knowledge, opportunities and future career paths. And of course - we are there too. At the Ptuj University of Applied Sciences, we introduced ourselves to visitors with our bionic doll and answered questions firsthand: what is the study of bionics in technology, what knowledge does it offer, and what opportunities does it open up in the domestic and wider environment. The career fair is intended for primary and secondary school students who are thinking about their future - and we believe that it can start here, at home, with knowledge that is modern, interdisciplinary and connected to the real challenges of the economy. The future does not happen by itself. We create it together.

Donations for the development of bionics in Ptuj

This month, the Ptuj College of Applied Sciences received a donation from Janez Škrlec, who has been intensively supporting the development of bionics in our country for many years. The donation includes 7 technological units, which represent the integration of various systems such as: electronic, optical, photonic, fluidic and microfluidic and other systems. Various hybrid drives and sensor systems are also integrated into this. The technological units are related to the development of support systems for modern medicine and healthcare, and include various implantable neurostimulators, micropumps, control and regulation systems, sensory systems, building blocks of bionic prosthetics, exoskeletons, humanoid robots and other devices. The development is also focused on the field of brain interfaces (BCIs), as well as the use of memristors, the development of support technologies for bionic vision and hearing and other devices. The technological units include practical examples of the operation of systems, and in the case of neurostimulators, it is a demonstration of their development in the direction of miniaturization, multifunctionality of devices and battery-free power supply. Certain systems are intended for communication between systems themselves and
