The Senate of the University College in Ptuj begins the procedure for electing the Dean. An election commission is appointed consisting of: Assoc. Prof. Dr. Štefan Čelan (Chairman), Mag. Stanislav Plazar (Member), Dr. Gregor Sagadin (Member). The deadline for submitting candidacies is from 31. 5. 2021 to 14. 6. 2021.

The procedure for the election and appointment of the Dean shall begin with the adoption of a resolution of the Senate on the initiation of the procedure for the appointment of the Dean and the appointment of an election committee to conduct the candidacy procedure for the Dean, in accordance with Article 18 of the Statute of the University of Ptuj. The resolution of the Senate on the initiation of the procedure for the appointment of the Dean shall be published on the notice board and website of the University of Ptuj (hereinafter referred to as the University of Ptuj). The decision shall be notified to the higher education teachers of the University of Ptuj.

Only a member of the Academic Council with the title of at least assistant professor, or with an equivalent scientific title, may be appointed as dean.

Candidates for dean may be nominated by departments or by at least five higher education teachers or researchers who are members of the Academic Assembly. Recorded candidacies proposers within the investment deadline, until 14. 6. 2021 until 12 noon, in sealed envelopes, shall be submitted in person or by registered mail to the VŠP office. The office shall hand over the sealed envelopes with the registered candidacies to the election commission.

Direct candidacies candidates for dean, within the application deadline, June 14, 2021 until 12 noon, submitted in person or by registered mail to the office of the College of Education in Ptuj. The candidate for dean must attach to the application a program that will be the basis for his or her activities after election. The program must contain a time-bound operational work plan, stating goals, in the field of educational and scientific research activities of the College of Education.
