In 1991, she graduated from the Faculty of Economics and Business, Maribor, majoring in International Economic Relations. In 2003, she received her master's degree from the Faculty of Economics and Business, Maribor, majoring in Marketing. From 1991 to 1992, she was employed as an intern at the company Projekta Inženiring Ptuj, working as an associate in accounting and sales. In 1992, she was employed regularly at the School Center Ptuj, where she taught professional theoretical subjects in the field of economics until 2007. In 2005, she was awarded the title of councilor. In 2007, she took over the management and coordination of projects at the national and international level in the field of education development and the integration of the spheres of education and the economy, completing them in 2010. She was also the head of the inter-enterprise education center, a lecturer of professional subjects in the post-secondary programs Mechatronics, Economist, and Rural and Landscape Management.
In 2012, Mag. Darja Harb took over the management of the Revivis Institute, which she led until 2016. From 2012 to 2016, she also led the College of Engineering in Ptuj and made a significant contribution to the establishment and preparation of the Bionics in Technology program. In 2013, she was habilitated as a senior lecturer in the field of Economics, and later also in Communications and Organization.
She is the teacher of two subjects, namely Environmental Economics and Entrepreneurship and Business Communication and Leadership, and the elective subject Management and Bionics.
