Brigita Polanec graduated from the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics of the University of Maribor in 2008 and obtained the title of Professor of Mathematics and Production and Technical Education. She later enrolled in the postgraduate study program Technology - Field of Education at the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics of the University of Maribor. In 2013, she successfully defended her doctoral dissertation. In 2014, the University of Maribor awarded her the scientific title Doctor of Science in the field of Technology - Education.
From 2002 to 2014, she gained work experience at Extruzion sp in the field of polymer materials processing. She also gained some work experience at Md Inženiring doo, where she was employed as a young researcher through a project launched by the Technology Agency of Slovenia. Her main tasks were related to waste research, especially in the production of solid fuels from non-hazardous waste.
Dr. Brigita Polanec knows how to advise students in an interesting way on how to take into account modern theoretical and applied knowledge during their studies and subsequent employment.
