Professional terminology and communication in a foreign language (GERMAN, ENG)

Contents:

• Interactive practical exercises to encourage the relaxed and clear expression of opinions and ideas by incorporating new vocabulary from the field of bionics and idiomatics and more complex language structures (including the necessary emphasis on better language use);
• Analysis of successful international bionic projects and promotion of creative ideas. Students present the project in a foreign language;
• Listening and reading exercises for better understanding of professional texts in the field of bionics in technology and oral presentations on topics and business life and work;
• Expanding vocabulary in technical fields where development in the field of bionic research is particularly active (mechanics, electrical engineering, bionic systems, materials, biomechatronics, energy, sustainable development of bionic systems, chemical engineering, bionic micro/nano technologies) with the aim of developing students' abilities for successful professional cooperation in international bionic projects and communication in international business environments (oral and written communication, including various forms of written communication);
• Role-playing to promote oral communication in a wide range of bionic cases from project presentations to fundraising, marketing, negotiations, in-person and telephone job interviews, international meetings, etc.
