  • Physics and chemistry of materials – basics; materials and science; basic concepts of the crystal structure of solids
  • Features and usability:
    • Silicates and carbonates
    • Technical ceramics – semiconductors and insulators;
    • Glass: structural models of glasses, chemical composition and types of glasses, physical, temperature, chemical and electrical properties of glasses, defects in glass;
    • Glass and mineral wool;
    • Polymers: natural (OBD, HBD) and synthetic (thermoplastic, duroplastic), polymer additives, adaptive impact energy absorbers;
    • Composites (with fibers, with nanoparticles);
    • Biocompatible materials: metallic (metals and alloys) and non-metallic (organic, inorganic, composites);
    • Modern materials (carbon-based materials, thin films, liquid crystals, photonic crystals).
